Whitby fish is held in high regard throughout the country and appears on many menus in top restaurants....

Not many people know how Whitby fish became so well known and throught the country and is still regarded as some of the best you can get, ill tell you -  My father 'Dennis' was the first fish merchant in Whitby to distribute large quantities of fresh Whitby fish to major cities in Britain, buyers went mad for Whitby cod it was just so good, looked after well by the Whitby fishermen and filleted to the highest standard by our team of 30 strong filleters.

Soon word was spreading of 'Whitby fish' and in particular Whitby cod of been the best you can get, the snowball effect continued.

Im proud we played such a major part in the 'Whitby fish' brand and gave it its good name it still holds to this day. We still supply some of our first customers with the same fresh Whitby fish nearly 37 years later.....heres to another 37 years and a positive future for our brilliant Whitby fish market.
